"A Work in Progress"
Hi Folks! For those of
you who have been on our tours before or stayed with us at the our little motel we have a bit of news... During the summer
of 2010 we finally sold the "The Raptors Nest Inn" and have moved on to the second phase of our business:
"PaleoAdventures Dinosaur Field Station".
The Dinosaur Field Station has become our
official base of operations since the summer of 2011. It has a small giftshop and museum area, a small accessible
prep lab, and a small campground facility with some tent sites for our guests. The best part about this project
is that we will finally be able to offer tours our fossil prep lab. Here our guests can see some of our original dinosaur
bones brought back from the field and prepared for display.
Guests are welcome to set up their tents on the
property for a small camping fee of $20/night. Eventually we hope to install several camping cabins for our guests to stay
at, but we are a long way from finishing this part of the project.
For now, dinosaur diggers planning on
scheduling a tour in 2013 (looking for more advanced facilities beyond tent camping), should probably look to the various
other lodging options around Belle Fourche. These include the "Americinn" (for guests looking for deluxe accomodations
including a pool), the "Motel 6", "The Bunkhouse" (formerly the Raptors Nest), the "Ace Motel"
and "Sunset Motel".
We will update this page as things progress. The mini-museum and giftshop is available
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Just give us a call and we would be happy to show off some of our cool new fossils.
